Hundreds of kilos of meth found within blackberry shipments in Atlanta, Hall County

(Atlanta News First) " Hundreds of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were seized after they were hidden in blackberry shipments in Atlanta and Hall County, according to FBI Atlanta. The agency said 719 kilos, which was just over 1,500 pounds, of the drug were seized on Friday. In Atlanta, 419 kilos were found at a home on Custer Avenue SE "in a shipment of blackberries inside a refrigerated truck parked outside the home," FBI Atlanta officials said. Three hundred kilos of meth were found in another refrigerated box truck outside a business on McEver Road in Hall County, the FBI said. The FBI said both shipments "are believed to have been brought into the United States from Mexico." Three men are facing state charges.
