Wheeling defeated Glenville State 38-35 in a close game that featured a second-half comeback attempt by the Pioneers. Glenville State trailed 28-7 in the second half before mounting their rally. Cliff Hecker, coordinator for the Mid-Ohio Valley Toys for Tots, reported a surge in applications within the first five days of the application period. "Our applications opened on November 1st," Hecker said. "In our first five days, we had almost double what we typically get for family applications. In five days, we had 562 applications of families.
